Answer

Hello,

The Board and Cabinet are seeking ways to reduce unnecessary print costs and reduce waste.  Each student has been given an allotment of $125.00 per academic year, which is over 3,100 B&W prints or copies. This is not something additional that you are being charged. If you find you need more than this allotment, you will need to pay to add additional funds to your account.

The new printers are equipped with card readers or associated with your student login. Students can control where they print and how much or often. If you accidentally print something on the computer, you do not have to release the print job and get charged. It will delete after 12 hours or you can manually cancel it.

Student can now also print from personal devices by visiting printing.trine.edu or emailing the print job to printing@trine.edu. You will receive an email to verify and enter your credentials.

These new printers are more capable and efficient, and with the new system it brings more freedom to print to Students while assiting in reducing waste and costs.
