Answer

Hello!

The best networks for students to connect to are Trine_Students (in academic buildings) and Thunder 5GHz or Thunder 2.4GHz (in residence halls). If you cannot see the 5GHz network, your device will not be able to connect to it. If it can, we highly recommend you use this than to connect to 2.4GHz.

As always, if you are experiencing issues connecting please contact the Help Desk so we can assist you. This past year we found 65% of the wireless issues that students experienced were caused by an issue with their device. There could be hardware driver updates needed, malware/spyware issues, or simple hardware problems that could cause wireless connection issues. We are happy to assist in diagnosing or troubleshooting. We are available 7AM to 7PM, Monday through Friday.

Thank you,
