Q

What is Adobe Digital Editions?

I'm trying to download an e-book from Trine's Library and it says I need Adobe Digital Editions. What is that?

Answer

Adobe Digital Editions is an E-book reading platform (sort of like iBooks or the Kindle reader) that works for PCs and Macs.

To use Adobe Digital Editions, you must first have a free Adobe ID.  Sign up for an Adobe ID with the link below.  Your Adobe ID account is yours forever - it is not provided by Trine or restricted to Trine students.

Once you have an Adobe ID, download Adobe Digital Editions to your Mac or PC, and open the program, and sign in with your Adobe ID.

When you download Ebooks from Trine's online library, the files will open with Adobe Digital Editions.

From there, you could transfer the ebook to an iOS or Android device using BlueFire Reader.
